Adani Green Energy profit up 19%

Adani Green Energy Ltd reported a strong set of earnings for the fiscal first quarter, with consolidated net profit rising 19.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 983 crore, supported by healthy growth in revenue and operating profit.

The renewable energy company reported revenue of Rs 4,431 crore for the first quarter of FY27, up 16.6 percent from Rs 3,800 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Operating performance also improved during the quarter. EBITDA increased 31 percent year-on-year to Rs 3,985 crore from Rs 3,042 crore a year ago, while EBITDA margin expanded sharply to 90 percent from 80 percent in the year-ago period.

On a standalone basis, it booked quarterly loss at Rs 51 crore amid higher expenses while revenue from operations 29 per cent to Rs 6,472 crore.

The company continued to fund its project subsidiaries during the June quarter, investing Rs 1,170 crore through unsecured perpetual debt while receiving Rs 315 crore back from such instruments, according to its standalone financial statements.

The stock was down 3.05 percent at Rs 1,494.90 after the company announced its quarterly results.

The group has renewable generation operational capacity of 20 giga watt (GW) as at  June 30 2026, vs 15.8 GW ast year. The company targets to reach 50 GW by 2030. Its BESS (battery storage) capacity stood at 3.5 GWh as of Q1, which it plans expand to over 10 GWh by the end FY27.

Revenue from power supply rose 29 per cent to Rs 4,280 crore and EBITDA from the same rose 33 per cen to Rs 4,122 crore in Q1.

In Q1, the company commissioned 4,800 MW of renewable projects, but some of these commissioned projects are still waiting for transmission connectivity, delaying their shift to long-term contracted PPAs, the company said in regulatory filing.
