In Asian markets today, South Korea’s Kospi surged over two per cent, Japan’s Nikkei 225 jumped 1.4 per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose half a per cent, Taiwan’s Taiex added 0.3 per cent, and China’s Shanghai Composite as well as Singapore’s Strait Times gained over 0.2 per cent each.
 
In European markets, Germany’s DAX soared one per cent, while London’s FTSE 100 added 0.1 per cent, when reports last came in.
