Tata Motors on Monday reported a 19 per cent year-on-year increase in domestic commercial vehicle sales for May 2026, with volumes rising to 30,784 units from 25,872 units in the same month last year, led by growth across cargo, truck and and passenger carrier segments.
According to the official press release, the company’s total commercial vehicle sales, including international business, stood at 32,850 units in May, up 17 per cent from 28,147 units a year earlier. International sales, however, declined 9 per cent to 2,066 units.
Among domestic segments, small commercial vehicle cargo and pickup sales recorded the strongest growth, rising 30 per cent year-on-year to 11,819 units.
Passenger carrier sales increased 21 per cent to 5,757 units, while heavy commercial vehicle truck sales rose 11 per cent to 7,877 units and intermediate, light, and medium commercial vehicle trucks rose 8 per cent to 5,331 units.
Domestic MH&ICV sales stood at 13,679 units in May 2026, compared with 12,406 units in the corresponding month last year, reflecting 10 per cent growth.
