U.S. stock futures rose Thursday after the widely-watched monthly jobs report pointed to a resilient labor market as well as easing inflationary pressures.

At 08:40 ET (12:40 GMT), Dow Jones Futures rose 65 points, or 0.2%, S&P 500 Futures gained 14 points, or 0.2%, and Nasdaq 100 Futures climbed 63 points, or 0.3%.

The main averages on Wall Street mostly gained on Wednesday, with the benchmark S&P 500 and tech-heavy NASDAQ Composite both posting fresh record closes. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was the laggard, finishing the session broadly unchanged, although the blue-chip index remained within striking distance of its all-time peak.

Markets will see a shortened trading session on Thursday, ahead of the July 4 Independence Day holiday.
