P N Gadgil Jewellers shares rose more than 8 percent in Monday's trade after the company reported a 52 percent year-on-year increase in net profit for the June quarter.
The stock climbed 8.19 percent to Rs 700 per share on the NSE.
The company's consolidated net profit increased to Rs 105 crore in the first quarter of FY27 from Rs 69 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Revenue from operations rose 40 percent to Rs 2,413 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 1,715 crore in the year-ago period.
The company reported a same-store sales growth (SSSG) of 46.1 percent year-on-year, supported by healthy customer footfalls and highher transaction volumes.
Retail sales continued to strengthen, with the retail segment contributing 78 percent of total revenue in Q1 FY27, up from 70 percent in the corresponding quarter of FY26, the company said in an exchange filing.
During the quarter, the company focused on improving the productivity of its existing store network while continuing site identification, franchise partner onboarding and operational readiness for its planned expansion. It said the expansion strategy remains focused on the northern and central regions.
As of June 30, 2026, P N Gadgil Jewellers operated 78 stores, including 77 in India and one in the US. The company said it plans to open a few stores during the second quarter of FY27, with most of the expansion scheduled for the third and fourth quarters in line with its phased rollout plan.
